FREE FONT FRIDAY

Free Font Friday is series I run on Instagram where I pick a favorite font of mine and create a breakdown for it. It started one day while scrolling on Instagram because, a design account I follow would post videos of them talking briefly about a specific font for that week. I felt I could expand this project , so I started making my own version of what these videos were. What I do is I find a font I’m feeling for that week or one that I’ve recently used and I show it off in a way that could be useful for someone else to use. My word examples are what I was feeling, hearing, or listening to at the time of designing. My biggest thing is making sure everyone can clearly see every letter, number and symbol that the font has to offer. In a way, I was creating a brand identity for each font chosen. This is a project for viewers who use typefaces daily and also for any old average Joe. Free Font Friday graphics can be made into almost anything you’d want it to be, whether that be a coaster, t-shirt, sticker, or even a coffee cup.
